51小黄车Center to Advance Interprofessional Education and Practice announces fall knowledge exchange events

The at the University of 51小黄车 has announced the topics for its fall 2025 semester Knowledge Exchange events.
Through a team-based approach, this fall鈥檚 virtual, interactive events will examine the impacts of climate change on human and planetary health, the psychological well-being of patients and health practitioners, harm reduction strategies, and the business practices associated with the health care industry.
The semester will culminate in the center鈥檚 virtual annual Fall Interprofessional Student Showcase on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
CAIEP has been a key hub for interprofessional education (IPE) and collaborative practice at 51小黄车for over 15 years and fosters teamwork among health care professionals and students through various initiatives, including the Knowledge Exchange events, immersive simulations, interprofessional student groups, career preparation and exploration programming, and collaborative research projects.
CAIEP activities address contemporary health issues with emphasis on strategies for interprofessional clinical practice teamwork, when workers from multiple professions work together to improve health outcomes. Programming includes lectures and discussion groups featuring local and national experts from a variety of fields and those with real-world experience.
The center engages with all health professions fields, including dentistry and medicine, as well as many arts and sciences programs, to enhance team skills for clinical and community practice and improve health care for all.
Events are offered to students for credit toward earning the nationally recognized Interprofessional Honors Distinction, which demonstrates team readiness to future employers. Select Knowledge Exchanges offer continuing medical education and continuing education units for working health care professionals and all are available for faculty curriculum.
All events are free and open to the public.
